A Bespoke Digital Platform for Malone Fabrics Group

Banbridge Website Studio was delighted to work with Malone Fabrics Group, based in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland, to design and develop a completely bespoke website for their commercial fabrics business.

From the outset, this project required more than a conventional brochure website. Malone Fabrics Group needed a digital platform that could showcase their extensive fabric offering beautifully while providing customers with practical tools to explore products, request samples and access important product information.

Our objective was to combine bespoke functionality with a modern, editorial-inspired design, creating a website that feels as considered and professional as the products and service Malone Fabrics Group provides.

Editorial Design

The visual direction for the project was intentionally clean, contemporary and editorial.

With fabric being such a visual and tactile product, we wanted the website to give imagery, textures and collections room to breathe. Strong typography, carefully considered spacing and a refined design system help create a premium experience without distracting from the products themselves.

Every element was designed to provide a consistent experience across desktop, tablet and mobile while maintaining the distinctive character of the Malone Fabrics Group brand.

Bespoke Functionality

A major part of the project involved developing functionality specifically around the requirements of the business.

Rather than adapting Malone Fabrics Group to fit an off-the-shelf website structure, we took the time to understand how the business operates and developed a platform around those requirements.

This included a bespoke fabric sample ordering service, providing customers with a straightforward way to discover fabrics and request the samples they need.

We also developed dedicated customer information sheets, making important product information easy to access through a clear and structured digital experience.

These bespoke elements transform the website from a simple online catalogue into a practical platform that supports both Malone Fabrics Group and its customers.

Customer Experience

User experience was central throughout the design and development process.

Commercial fabric collections can contain a significant amount of information, so careful consideration was given to how customers navigate the website, discover products and move between inspiration, product information and sample requests.

The finished platform brings these different elements together within one cohesive experience, making the website both visually engaging and genuinely useful.

What was the result of the Malone Fabrics Group website project?

The completed Malone Fabrics Group website is a modern, responsive and highly tailored digital platform that reflects the quality and professionalism of this established Hillsborough business.

It combines an editorial design style with bespoke development and customer-focused functionality, providing Malone Fabrics Group with a platform designed around the way they operate today while giving the business room to grow in the future.

This project has been a genuine labour of love for our team, and we are incredibly proud of the finished result.

It has also been a pleasure working alongside the excellent team at Malone Fabrics Group throughout the process. Their knowledge, ideas and collaboration helped us create a platform that we believe represents the business exceptionally well.
